GeoOutlook Returns: A New Era for the IGSHPA Community

Bringing GeoOutlook back to the IGSHPA industry and community has been such an exciting and rewarding journey.  Since our first issue in September 2023, we have made tremendous strides thanks to so many, especially our article writers and advertisers!

In 2023, we published our first GeoOutlook since 2019, and by the end of 2024, we will have two more publications under our belt. The overwhelming positive feedback from our readers has been so incredibly encouraging. Working on GeoOutlook has been a wonderful experience. It has allowed our staff to connect with so many IGSHPA members and gain deeper insights into the GSHP industry.  Our IGSHPA team is working hard to make sure GeoOutlook is continuously improving, and we know we can achieve that. If you are interested in submitting an article or advertising to our 50,000-reader audience, we would love for you to reach out to us!

We want GeoOutlook to be a great resource for all our readers to stay up to date on the latest technology, research and industry news. Thank you again to BNP Media, and all our article writers and advertisers, IGSHPA would never be able to continue with GeoOutlook without your support and dedication to the GSHP Industry!

A Spotlight on IGSHPA’s Advocacy Efforts

Explore how IGSHPA is promoting geothermal technology as a sustainable solution for reducing carbon emissions and building a cleaner energy future. Learn about the Advocacy and Communications Task Force’s initiatives to raise awareness about the environmental and economic benefits of geothermal technology. Discover how individuals and organizations can join IGSHPA’s efforts to advocate for the widespread adoption of ground source heat pumps (GSHPs).

The International Ground Source Heat Pump Association (IGSHPA) is shining a spotlight on the role of geothermal technology in building a cleaner, more sustainable energy future. Through its advocacy efforts and initiatives, IGSHPA is working to raise awareness about the environmental and economic benefits of ground source heat pump (GSHP) technology and its potential to drive decarbonization and beneficial electrification efforts.

As we move into the summer months and spend more time outdoors, we’re reminded of the importance of protecting the planet and combating climate change. With buildings accounting for a significant portion of global energy consumption and carbon emissions, the adoption of energy-efficient heating and cooling solutions is crucial in mitigating climate change and reducing environmental impact. Geothermal technology, particularly GSHP systems, offers a promising solution to this challenge.

GSHP systems harness the earth’s renewable energy to provide efficient and effective heating, cooling, and hot water production for residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. By leveraging the stable temperatures found beneath the earth’s surface, GSHP systems can significantly reduce energy consumption, lower carbon emissions, and enhance indoor comfort levels. GSHP systems are compatible with renewable energy sources such as solar and wind power, further reducing environmental impact.

Through its Advocacy and Communications Task Force and partnerships with industry stakeholders, IGSHPA is working to raise awareness about the benefits of geothermal technology and advocate for policies that support its widespread adoption. By engaging with policymakers, utilities, and building owners, IGSHPA aims to create an enabling environment for geothermal technology and address barriers to implementation.

As individuals and organizations continue to further these initiatives, IGSHPA encourages everyone to learn more about geothermal technology and its potential to make a positive impact on the planet. By working together to promote and advocate for geothermal technology, we can build a cleaner, more sustainable future for generations to come.
