IGSHPA Notice to Membership:

Dear IGSHPA Members,

Since its inception in 1987, the International Ground Source Heat Pump Association has been a unit of Oklahoma State University with a mission of innovation and advancement of ground source heat pump technology. We are proud of our history with this noteworthy organization.

However in recent years, the financial outlook for IGSHPA has become unsustainable. In light of this difficult situation, OSU must find a new approach to continuing the original mission of this organization. Effective immediately, OSU is dissolving the IGSHPA Board of Directors, Advisory Council, and standing committees. Our primary goal is to protect the future of the industry by providing necessary training services and preparing a plan for the continuation of other member services.

OSU is in the midst of discussions with other established trade associations for the continuation of IGSHPA, including member services and benefits.  During this transition period to a new organizational home, IGSHPA operations, including all membership services and benefits and development and delivery of training courses, will continue without interruption.

Members who are current on their membership dues will be transferred to the new organization at the proper time, and members (individual and corporate) who expire in December 2019 will still be considered active at the time of transfer.

OSU will continue to support the development of the ground source heat pump industry in the United States and worldwide through research and training. Certifications through IGSHPA also will continue to be handled through OSU.

Updates on the status of a new organizational home for IGSHPA and your membership will be communicated via email as well as through our monthly newsletter. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to chart the organization’s next chapter.
